Royce Herron has a Master’s degree in Theatre. She has been sewing for more than 50 years and taught costume design, stage make-up, and theatre history at Glendale Community College for over 20 years. Royce began sewing at the early age of 13 when she was tired of boring and unflattering clothing for girls her age and size. Royce is a professional actor and a member of the Screen Actors Guild/American Film, Television, and Radio Artists. During her free time, she enjoys connecting with her Mighty Morphine Power Ranger fans as Ms. Appleby at PowerMorphicon and working with her daughter to create puppets and cosplay costumes.
Christy O’Connor holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre with a Minor in American Sign Language. Christy began sewing while attending Los Angeles Theatre Academy in 1994 and has created costumes and sets for many theatres across the US. During her college experience, she served as a costumer with Pacific Coast Playhouse where she worked with actors such as Neil Patrick Harris, D.W. Moffett, and Christina Pickles to name a few. Upon graducation, Christy worked in many areas of education from corporate training and developemt, after-school science programs, and Children’s Ministry. When she is not homeschooling her own son, she can be found in the garage working on armor for cosplay costumes and many other creative projects.
